    Year 4 Visit Hanley Park

Year 4 have been on a walk to Hanley Park to explore the different trees in our local area as part of our science topic. The children collected a variety of leaves, which they will classify in their next lesson. The children had a great time collecting as many different leaves as they could! There are more photos in our photo album.

    Year 4 Computing

In Computing this week, Year 4 have been investigating the internet and learning more about how it works. Using iPads, they explored a variety of websites to discover information, practise their search skills, and think about how the internet helps us find what we need. More photos are in our photo album.

    Academic Year 2024/2025

Love Shelton – Year 4 Art Project

This academic year, Year 4 have taken part in an exciting art project called Love Shelton. As part of the project, the children explored their local area and went on a creative trip to the Wolsey Centre for further inspiration. Using plasticine, they brought their ideas to life by creating imaginative animations that encourage people to appreciate and take pride in their community. The project culminated in a special art exhibition at St Mark’s Church, where the animations were showcased and families were invited to celebrate the creativity and hard work of our talented Year 4 pupils. Please see below the videos of the animations which the children have created.

    Year 4 Art Project

Over the last term, Year 4 have been working alongside PiCL on an art project. The children have worked with artists to develop their own stories, create set and character models and now they are beginning to turn these into an animation using cameras to take pictures. We are looking forward to continuing the project over the next term and seeing how our animations develop. - See our photo album for more photos.

    Solid? Liquid? Gas?

In Science this half term, we have been investigating solids, liquids and gases. The children have enjoyed exploring the different properties. The children have also been using their scientific skills of predicting, observing and evaluating changes that take place! See the photo album for more pictures!
